Guy G. Albrecht

Guy G. Albrecht, age 76, of Painted Post, NY passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 at Corning Hospital.

He was born November 20, 1947, in Jersey City, NJ the son of Rudolph and Louise (Worm) Albrecht.

Guy studied at the Culinary Institute of America in New Haven, Connecticut and went on to become an accomplished chef/manager at Valle's Steakhouse in Massachusetts and Webster Golf Club in Webster, NY.  He will be remembered for his love of cooking and baking for multitudes of people, as well as his love for the Green Bay Packers football team.  He enjoyed gardening, and in the past year, volunteering for CareFirstNY.  He attended Grace Lee Memorial Wesleyan Church in Beaver Dams, NY. 

He is survived by wife, Lu Anne Holland; son Scott Albrecht of Rochester, NY; daughter Sheri Sampey (Kevin), granddaughters Lilly and Sophie of Chicago, IL, as well as Lu Anne's sons, Ben Mori and Dan (Sara) Mori, grandchildren Kaden, Joshua, Xander, Emmi, and Ellie; brother-in-law David Watson (Rosario); former daughter-in-law Terrilyn Mori.  Predeceased by parents, brother John Albrecht, brother-in-law Tom Watson, sisters-in-law Linda Watson and Linda Lasher.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Grace Lee Memorial Wesleyan Church, 2075 Chambers Road, Beaver Dams, NY on March 1, 2024 at 10:00 am.
