Theresa A. Ferry

Theresa A. Ferry, 74, of Lindley, NY, passed away peacefully at home, leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and will forever miss her presence.

Born on October 26, 1951, in Corning, NY, Theresa was the daughter of Stanley and Phyllis (Jones) Bunevitch. A graduate of East High School, she dedicated her working years to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Founders Pavilion. Nursing was more than a job for Theresa; it was a reflection of her generous heart and her quiet strength.

Theresa found comfort and joy in life’s simple moments. She loved settling in with her Kindle, trying her luck with Quick Draw and scratch-offs, and faithfully watching her favorite soap opera, The Young and the Restless. She also shared strong opinions that always made those around her smile. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially being by Jess’s side as a devoted co-pilot to appointments every other week, a role filled with love, devotion, and care.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Raymond L. Ferry; her children, Jessica (Joe) Bailey and Jason Bunevitch; and her treasured grandchildren, Steven, Storm, Paige, Maddison, Sabin and Brandon, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Brentleigh, Braxton, and Brian, who filled her heart with even more love.

Theresa is also survived by her sister, Pat McMillian; her nieces, Johna and Theresa; and her cousin, Gerry Wray, whom was raised and loved as a brother. She is further remembered with love by her stepchildren, Becky Reid and her children Devin, Morgan, and Owen, and Ray Ferry Jr. and his children Lauren and Cameron.

A Celebration of Life honoring Theresa will be held on February 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Del’s Bar & Grill, 810 Addison Rd., Painted Post, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Theresa’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
